And if you haven't read Pope Francis' encyclical on the Sacred Heart, you could read 25 paragraphs a day and have it done by the feast!

This year's celebration of the Sacred Heart will bring particular joy in the United States, as the country's bishops consecrate the USA to Jesus, in the context of the 250th birthday of the nation.

The feast day falls this year on June 12, meaning that the traditional nine-day novena begins today. The beautiful feast of Corpus Christi falls within the novena. You can click HERE to get nine days of reflection and prayer, centered on Jesus' wounds.

If you haven't read Pope Francis last encyclical, which was about devotion to the Sacred Heart, these nine day would be a perfect opportunity. With just 25 paragraphs a day, you would have it completed by the feast day! Find it here.

The novena concludes each day with this prayer to Jesus:

That I may rest in you
That I may believe in you
That I may console you

That I may love my brothers
That I may serve you in my brothers

That I may find you praying for me
That I may behold your wounded beauty
That I may commit myself to you as my God.
